Tom's Cedarstrip Canoe Project
This section is about my first experience building a cedarstrip canoe - a modified Bear Mountain Huron Cruiser.
These pages outline the theory and process of building a lightweight cedarstrip canoe using unconventional techniques. Comments here are limited to the unique aspects of this canoe building project - especially with regards to minimising weight as well as an alternative stapleless construction method. Conventional cedarstrip canoe building has been covered at length by other authors and prospective builders should refer to those standard sources first.
